Ouden
As a young boy Ouden's parents tried to make him into a well-rounded man, teaching him the basics in Wizardry, Enchanting, Summoning, and even secretly a little Necromancy, Ouden was never taught to wield a sword or heal as most Erudites look down on their Cleric and Paladin brethren.
Ouden was fascinated by Necromancy, but he knew that it was the Heretics that had tried to destroy the very city he had grown up and loved, Erudin. Ouden focused his training into Enchanting as a young man, and has continued to train to this day in hopes of someday ammassing the knowledge that the wise Tashan had. However there was still that twing of Necromancy in him.
When he was of age, Ouden began to travel across Odus and to Antonica where he first came to Qeynos. After Ouden had nearly died to Gnolls, and bested many of them, he decided it was time to move on, he had heard of a great but troubled town called Freeport, and all he knew was the general direction. Weaving through the Plains of Karana and hiding in barns to escape the wrath of Hill Giants, Ouden eventually made his way.
Ouden learned of many things and begin to journey further and further south, becoming good friends with a Troll Shadowknight named Crrom and a Dark Elf Necromancer named Damodred, together they travelled, fought, and plotted. Ouden fell further into evil than he thought he could, but in the end it was his search for knowledge that pulled him from that hate-filled depth.
Hearing of a group called the Rising Phoenix, he convinced Crrom and Damodred to give up the Hate they had learned and seek knowledge in this guild. However, still quite evil, they were never really treated as peers, often ignored, and one time blatanly left out of a holy marriage between two other members, Ouden grew sour and left the Rising Phoenix, vowing to go his own for the rest of his days.
Damodred was slain in battle, and Crrom began to frequent Grobb and drink constantly, however Crrom's younger brother Gagukal was a good friend of Ouden and Ouden met several people through Gagukal. They were Serinde, Daeven, and Sanodan. Ouden began fighting along side of them and their friends more and more often, travelling around Norrath on adventures, seeking treasure and knowledge. After swearing to never rejoin another guildhouse, Ouden let down his guard and joined the Templars, after all, the already evil Serinde surely needed some somewhat evil company at her side to ward of the Paladins and Clerics that constantly tempt her from her roots.
Especially when that cleric is a bum. :)
